This year the met gala returned after almost two years with the theme CAMP. And boy was I highly disappointed. I wanted to see grown adults play dress up in the most obscene way and what we got was the complete opposite.
Camp: is an aesthetic style and sensibility that regards something as appealing because of its bad taste and ironic value.
It felt like the theme was completely missed by many if not all. Most of the celebs on the carpet looked like they belong on the Oscars red carpet not the met galas. It felt as if no one truly tried to be different, like they all played it safe. I was expecting to see tacky, trashy, and just all American fashion and, man it was not delivered. And please do not get me started on the influencers who just confused me all together.
Even though I was left highly unsatisfied there are a few looks like I truly loved, not because they were all on mark for the theme but because some gorgeous dress/looks
